This page covers the waitlist only — the app is not out yet. When it is, the scan itself is designed to run on your phone and send numbers, not photographs. That is the whole point of it.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To send you one invite when a batch opens. |
| An invite code | So the friends you send move you up the queue. |
| Where you arrived from | The link or campaign that brought you, so we know which efforts were worth it. Not tied to anything you do afterwards. |
| Your country | Two letters, from the network. It decides which market opens first. |
| A scrambled fingerprint of your IP | A one-way hash, never the address itself. It exists only to stop a script signing up ten thousand times. |
No cookies are set for advertising, and there is no third-party tracker following you off this site. That is why you were not asked to accept anything.
Addresses sit in a database on Cloudflare's network and in Brevo, our email provider, whose servers are in France and Germany. Both are processors acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
Until the beta opens and you either take your invite or ignore it. If you are still on the list twelve months from the day you joined, we delete you and you hear nothing further.
A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion — under the GDPR those are your rights, and honouring them here takes one line of SQL. Write to hello@glowing.example and it is done within the week. Replying "remove" to any email works just as well. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Glowing is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, screen for, or treat any condition, and nothing it tells you replaces a dermatologist.
