Glowing · waitlist

What we keep, and what we don't

This page covers the waitlist only — the app is not out yet. When it is, the scan itself is designed to run on your phone and send numbers, not photographs. That is the whole point of it.

What joining the list stores

WhatWhy
Your email addressTo send you one invite when a batch opens.
An invite codeSo the friends you send move you up the queue.
Where you arrived fromThe link or campaign that brought you, so we know which efforts were worth it. Not tied to anything you do afterwards.
Your countryTwo letters, from the network. It decides which market opens first.
A scrambled fingerprint of your IPA one-way hash, never the address itself. It exists only to stop a script signing up ten thousand times.

No cookies are set for advertising, and there is no third-party tracker following you off this site. That is why you were not asked to accept anything.

Where it lives

Addresses sit in a database on Cloudflare's network and in Brevo, our email provider, whose servers are in France and Germany. Both are processors acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

How long

Until the beta opens and you either take your invite or ignore it. If you are still on the list twelve months from the day you joined, we delete you and you hear nothing further.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion — under the GDPR those are your rights, and honouring them here takes one line of SQL. Write to hello@glowing.example and it is done within the week. Replying "remove" to any email works just as well. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.

What this is not

Glowing is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, screen for, or treat any condition, and nothing it tells you replaces a dermatologist.
